The Sanguineverse is about to get a LOT more beautiful
Hey Reader,
I'm literally about to explode with excitement, because I'm finally ready to spill all the tea about the Tempted by the Vampire Prince's Kickstarter Campaign for the Special Edition!
The Kickstarter Pre-launch Page is LIVE!
I've been working with some incredibly talented artists and a whole team behind the scenes to put together a very special edition of Tempted by the Vampire Prince, along with bonus goodies you are absolutely going to want to get your hands on.
And here's the thing: the best parts are still a secret. But not for long.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be revealing more about the campaign. And if you want to be the first to know, following the pre-launch page is a MUST.
Here's what's coming:
๐ค The cover reveal: Trust me, it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever put my name on
๐ฉธ The sprayed edges reveal: Wait
until you see these
โจ Exclusive character art of Cora and Yves
๐ง A first listen from the audiobook narrator (yes, there's an audiobook stretch goal, and yes, Josie voices vampires like no one else)
๐ Sneak peeks at the bonus content: If you're into secret letters, lore, deleted scenes, and a poem from a five-hundred-year-old vampire's private journal
Why follow the pre-launch page now instead of waiting?
Two reasons.
First: When you tap "Notify me on launch," you'll be the very first to know the moment we go live. That matters, because the best early-bird pricing and limited rewards go fast.
Second: Following the page is how you get every reveal as it drops. Cover, sprayed edges, character art, all of it. You'll be in the inner circle while everyone else is still waiting to find out what the fuss is about.
It takes two seconds. Once you're on the Kickstarter page, just tap on the black "Notify me on launch" button, and you're in.
Real Talk: I left my job as a Resident in Counseling to write these books because I believed in them that much. Getting to build something this beautiful with you here for it from the very beginning is a dream I don't take lightly.
Come into the Sanguineverse with me. The reveals start soon. ๐ค

Nene aka @thekindlenerd
Nene is one of those people that I feel like I've known for a long time, even though we just met through Vampire Prince.
We share a love for Star Trek (I'm a TNG Girlie) and OFC vampires.
If you're into amazing book recs, fabulous aesthetics, bookish accessories, make sure you're following her.
I have way too many great things to say about Nene, but
I'll let her introduce herself:
I'm an absolute nerdy ambiverted lil weirdo! ๐ Into books, Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, ATLA, Vampire Diaries and more!
FUN FACT: I'm named after an actress in Star Trek!
Recent Read: Currently ready a ton of arcs! But so excited for Ballad of Falling Dragons!

Want to write romance that keeps readers up at night? Stop letting your characters kiss.
Okay, hear me out.
When I was a brand-new writer, my instinct was to give readers what they wanted as fast as possible. Two characters have a spark? Great! Kiss immediately!
Here's the secret that took me way too long to learn: romantic tension doesn't come from two people getting together. It comes from two people who can't or won't even though they desperately want to.
That gap between what your characters want and what they let themselves have? That's the tension. And tension is the thing readers are actually addicted to. The longer you hold that gap open, the harder they'll root for your couple.
So how do you build it? You give your characters a REASON not to act on their feelings. A rule. A wall. A line they've drawn.
In Tempted by the Vampire Prince, my two leads literally make a rule: no kissing, no promises, just fun. They invent it on purpose, because kissing feels like the thing neither of them is ready for.
The rule isn't there to keep them apart forever. It's there to make every almost-moment unbearable. Every time they get close and stop, the reader leans in a little harder.
Here's your takeaway as a beginner:
Before you let your characters fall into each other's arms, ask: what's standing in their way? It can be external (different worlds, a forbidden situation, terrible timing) or internal (fear, grief, a wall they built to protect themselves). The best tension usually uses BOTH.
Then (this is the important part) don't resolve it too fast. Let them want it. Let the reader want it. Make them earn the kiss, and it'll hit ten times harder when it finally comes.
Your homework: take a scene where two characters are getting close, and instead of letting the moment land, put one small obstacle in the way and see how it changes the energy.
Tension isn't the enemy of romance. It IS the romance.
Happy writing
